«Since the early ’90s, German artist and photographer Wolfgang Tillmans has been shooting his life and everything around him, from flowers and friends to the Concorde taking off and the night scene. He has been an important collaborator since the beginning, shooting covers, artists’ portraits, and fashion stories — always pushing us to be more politically engaged. For this anniversary issue, he shot the American designer Rick Owens waking up in his Paris home, getting out of bed, taking a shower, and preparing for the day in his own clothes».
