Hemp shirt in handwoven fabric – production details, threads, fabrics

The fabric for this natural hemp shirt in handwoven textile was made by artisans in Treviso on a hand loom, using hemp, silk and linen yarns of different counts. The twill weave features a 2:2 yarn combination ratio. The fabric is textured, but at the same time is soft to touch thanks to hand weaving techniques.

The hemp shirt in handwoven textile is tailor – made in Veneto, a region in Northern Italy. The shirt has a sporty and casual attitude and thus a relaxed fit, raglan sleeves with diagonal seams, and wide collar.

The shirt and brass cufflinks from Prototipo Studio

This hemp shirt in handwoven textile features three removable, handmade brass cufflinks on the overlap. The cufflinks are conceived, designed by Prototipo Studio and produced exclusively by a laboratory in the Italian region of Marche. The jeweled cufflink appears solid and incorruptible. The hexagons are about five millimeters thick and they are soldered together by a chain of two rings, also made of brass. This cufflink by Prototipo Studio is a jeweled object which is potentially indestructible.

Prototipo Studio: the natural colors mud green and anthracite gray

Prototipo Studio is characterized by the chosen key colors for its garments: mud green and anthracite gray. The green color is given by the pigment extracted from licorice root found in Southern Italy, Calabria. The dark gray color comes from extracts of vegetable charcoal. All pigments chosen by Prototipo Studio are sourced in Italy, intending to pursue a completely local supply chain: not only ‘Made in Italy’ but also ‘Made and Sourced in Italy’.
