Hemp vest, woven fabric – production details, the hemp thread and woven fabric

Hemp textile strips present a thickness that may vaguely resemble denim. These orthogonal textile strips are unsewn, solid, compact and therefore suitable for hand weaving. The weave is worked on four crosses: the fabric thus woven is strong and stable, yet soft thanks to the hemp fiber.

Handwoven vest, one of Prototipo Studio’s handcrafted excellences

Precise pattern placement and the creation of hemp denim bands allow the woven fabric to remain linear and comfortable when worn. The tailoring process requires skill to handle a fabric in constant motion, and produce a garment that, although of high manufacturing value, can be used every day. The result is a composition of different panels incorporated into a modern vest with a 1970s design. The fit of this vest is oversize. The brass cufflinks, hexagonal in shape, are one of the hallmarks of Prototipo Studio. No coloring processes have been applied to this vest.
